A presentation of our wines

 

 

Balders Blod 2013: Vingården i Klagshamn's first red wine under own label. For this vintage we had good help from our friends and collagues @ Ästad Vingård and their new de-stalking machine. A fantastic tool, almost comparable to de-stalking by hand = extremely lenient. 


 

Balders Blod 2016: The second vintage of our red wine. Only two barrels were produced and the wine sold out in just two months...


Ego NV: Made exclusively from the Solaris grape. A new innovative wine, stored in a solera system and as such a mix of various vintages and from different barrels. Ego NV was awarded with 2014 International Wine Challenge's bronze medal. The wine is fermented and stored on French and Caucasian oak barrels and has not undergone malolactic fermentation. 


Ego 2 NV: The second version of our solera stored multivintage Solaris' wine. Awarded with International Wine Challenge's award "Commended" in December 2015. Trivia: The first version of Ego 2NV was a favourite of BBC's Joe Wadsack while testing Swedish wine... Non-vintage but a blend of various vintages from selected barrels.


Ego 3 & 4 NV: Third and fourth version of our solera stored Solaris' wine. 


Ego 3 fick silver på London International Winechallenge 2017 och ett brons på Decanter WineAwards. Ego 4 var ej ute och tävlade men sålde raskt slut. Detta vin finns även i Norge på både det Norske Vinmonopol samt några utvalda restauranger. 

 

Inkognito 2012: A 100% Solaris' product, of which 60% has been fermented and stored for seven months on French and Caucasian oak barrels from Seguin Moreau. The remaining 40% has been fermented and stored on steel tank.


Detta vinet har två år i rad (årgång 2012 och 2013) erhållit omdömet "Commended" på International Wine Challenge i London.  


Inkognito 2013: A good quality wine made from the Solaris grape (100%). Awarded with International Wine Challenge's award "Commended" in December 2014. 


Vinet har jäst dels på ståltank, cirka 60 %, samt på kaukasiska ekfat från Seguin Moreau, 40% och har ej genomgått malolaktisk jäsning. Med en årgångskarakteristisk touch av "armpit" förs nästan tankarna till Nya Zeeland. Årgång 2013 har skrivit upp av många "förstå-sig-påare", men vi bedömer årgången som normal, det vill säga av en god kvalitet. Vinet erhöll omdömet "Commended" på International Wine Challenge i London, tre årgånger i rad!  


Inkognito 2014: Made from the Solaris grape and vinified on steel tank as well as oak barrels. Received "Commended" from International Wine Challenge, London. Bought in the TSE assortment.


 

Inkognito 2015: Made from the Solaris grape and vinified on steel tank as well as oak barrels. Received "Silver" from International Wine Challenge, London. Bought in the TSE assortment. 


Klagshamn Rosé: This rosé is made from the finest, self-drained must and therefore salmon pink and lovely in colour. Fermented and stored in steel tank.


Klagshamns Rosé 2014: The wine's beautiful, salmon pink colour is a result of the best, drained musts from the grape Rondo. This type of must always has a somewhat higher acidity (and i.e. a lower pH) and therefore we have chosen to let the wine malolactically ferment in order to balance the acidity. The bunches are pressed whole.


Klagshamns Rosé Barrique 2014:


Den mörka rosén är tillverkad av den sist avrunna musten från druvan Rondo.. Denna must har alltid lägre syra, det vill säga högre pH värde och därför har vi valt att blockera den malolaktiska jäsningen. Vinet har jäst på ståltank vid cirka 17 grader, därefter har vinet lagrats i 3 månader på amerikanska ekfat. 

 

Klagshamns Rosé Barrique 2015: 50% fermented and stored on American oak barrels, the other 50% on steel tank.


Vinet vann en silvermedalj på Cuvée Ostrava 2016 och fick även PRIX FIJEV-2016.

 

Nordic Light 2014A white wine, made exclusively from the Solaris grape. Residual sugars 38 g/l. Acidity 9 g/l. Fermented and stored on oak barrels. No malolactic fermentation. Taste and aroma according to Systembolaget: "Somewhat aromatic, fruity taste with sweetness, elements of barrel, white currants, pear, herbs, honey and citrus."


Första årgången av detta vin erhöll en bronsmedalj på International Wine Challenge i London. Har även belönats med Great Gold och Category winner på Cuvée Ostrava i Tjecken.  

 

Phantasmagoria 2013: Solely produced from the Solaris grape. Awarded with International Wine Challenge's bronze medal. Phantasmagoria was fermented on new, French oak barrels. No malolactc fermentation. Late harvested grapes and with a natural residual sugar level of 57 g/l. Alcohol level of 12%. 


Hos Swedish Taste i Göteborg har t ex Phantasmagoria serverats till kalvbräss och endive, syrlig fänkål, torkad lök och lakrits! Detta vin har representerat Sverige på La Cité du Vin, Bordeaux, Frankrike.


Terra Scania: A fresh summer wine, fermented and stored on steel tank. Residual sugars of 6 g/l.


Öresund 2015: Fermented and stored on steel tank, with natural residual sugars of 29 g/l but with a preserved acidity, this wine is more fruity and fresh than sweet. Perfect on a summer's day! Öresund also goes very well with the Asian meal.


Vinet har vunnit en silvermedalj på den Internationella vintävlingen Cuvée Ostrava 2016, bara 0,67 poäng från en guldmedalj!
